Mastermix Multi-Cote has been developed to form a high performance coating system that enables it to be applied internally and externally as a render to almost any stable substrate including concrete, brick, block work and steel.
It forms a waterproof top coat that is inert and does not adversely affect the quality of stored water which can be applied to walls, ceilings and floors. As you might expect it has proven to be particularly useful in the ‘leaky homes’ era of house renovation! Other product applications include water tanks, swimming pools and Wastewater Treatment Plants.
Independent tests from respected international laboratories are in the process of being revamped to better understand the performance limits of this product.

We pay top dollar to put our products to the test so you don’t have to. AMS Laboratory Results: Independent laboratory tests show that the adhesion tensile strength of Multi-Cote was greater than 3.2 N/mm2 for both concrete and steel substrates. Tests have shown a design life of better than 50 years! Laboratory partners such as AMS have commited to redeveloping the testing standards for cementitious protectant products to better understand the performance limits of Multi-Cote and the expected Industry Standard for competing products in this category. To ensure that Multi-Cote does not adversely affect the quality of stored water, we successfully applied for certification for AUS Standard/NZ Standard 4020-2005. These tests included Taste, Turbidity, Aquatic Microorganism Growth, Cytotoxic Activity, Mutagenic Activity and Extraction of Metals. | Instructions | The substrate must be clean of: 🗸 Dirt 🗸 Grease 🗸 Loose materials 🗸 Foreign matter Multi-Cote must be mixed with clean potable water and can be applied by roller or brush to a thickness of 2mm. If an additional coat is required it can be applied in 3 to 4 hours time, subject to the drying conditions. Each application of Multi-Cote will take approx 30 mins to become tacky at an air temperature of 16°C. and cured in 3 to 4 hours. Temperature, humidity and water content will affect these times. Multi-Cote should not be applied in temperatures below 7°C. |

| Warranty | As part of our commitment to delivering the best customer experience throughout the project lifecycle, Mastermix Director Steve Douglas personally reviews each warranty request of the Mastermix product line. Warranty periods are awarded at our discretion and will only be considered where approved Mastermix product applicators are used. A warranty may be offered, subject to strict conditions, and each project will be assessed on it’s own merits and must applied by an approved applicator of the company. As a general guide, upon submitting project details to the company, Mastermix Ltd may issue a 15 year warranty for treatment of walls and 3 years for swimming pools.Often times we EXCEED the required project warranty period by up to 43 years! |

Multi-Cote will form a hard wearing durable top coat to most substrates that require a waterproof coating that is inert and acid free which can be applied to walls, ceilings and floors. A colour tint can be added to the mix, or, the finished product can be painted with traditional paint systems. Typical applications are for water tanks, swimming pools and to ‘leaking’ external walls and floors.
