Mastermix Waterproof Mortar Mix is our answer to projects that require a waterproof lining to form as part of the curing process.

Mastermix Waterproof Mortar Mix forms a waterproof lining for areas where water is to be stored, from water tanks, reservoirs and water treatment plants. It can also be used to refurbish existing water tanks and feeding troughs.

Further, it will provide, a breathable, but waterproof rendered finish to the external walls of houses and commercial buildings. It can even be pump/spray applied where large enough volumes permit.

Product Performance As part of our commitment to developing the best products for your projects, Mastermix has maintained a 20 year history of rigorous testing via internationally recognised laboratories. We pay top dollar to put our products to the test so you don’t have to. OPUS Laboratory Results: Independent Independent laboratory tests have shown that that Waterproof Mortar Mix has a compressive strength of 22.5 MPa after 7 days and 27.0 MPa after 28 days. It meets NZ Standards 4210:1989 Code of Practice for masonry construction.
Packaging Packed in 30kg waterproof bags. When stored in cool dry conditions it will have a shelf life of 3 months.
Instructions Waterproof Mortar Mix should be mixed thoroughly, and evenly with 135mls : 1kg of product of clean potable water to the consistency required for the particular work being carried out. The ambient temperature affects the curing time of Waterproof Mortar Mix. It is best used in temperatures of between 7°C and 25°C. The water content will also affect the curing time. For cracks and breakouts: Simply pour the mixture into the cracks to level up and leave. For corroded areas: Pour onto the area and squeegee over to cover the affected area evenly. The product will set quickly to form an abrasive, resistant and flexible repair.

Warranty As part of our commitment to delivering the best customer experience throughout the project lifecycle, Mastermix Director Steve Douglas personally reviews each warranty request. Each Warranty period is awarded at our discretion and will only be considered where approved Mastermix product applicators are used.
