It is also designed to be cost effective as in number of bags per square metre for the end user whilst remaining easy to handle. They weigh 25kg and most importantly are designed to achieve a square metre coverage of 17-19 bags m2. Our Culvert Bags have a lower constructed cost per square metre when compared with pre-cast concrete and crib walls. We are accepted and regularly used by companies such as Fulton Hogan, Higgins, Fletcher Forests, McBreen Jenkins, Downer NZ LTD, and numerous Local Bodies so if you are in the market for a proven product then contact our Technical Department for more information.

Product Performance As part of our commitment to developing the best products for your projects, Mastermix has maintained a 20 year history of rigorous testing via internationally recognised laboratories. We pay top dollar to put our products to the test so you don’t have to. OPUS Laboratory Results independent laboratory tests carried out in accordance with NZ3112 and show that compressive strengths will be achieved as follows: 🗸 + 7 days – 20.0MPa 🗸 + 28 days –30.0MPa
Packaging 25kg polypropylene bags – bag size W400mm x L300mm x H100mm – approx 17 bags per m2 – 40 bags per pallet
Placement 🗸 Stack as though you are building a brick wall. Batter the bags back approximately 10mm, this helps to lock the bags in 🗸 Culvert Bag’s need to be staked by either using basalt rods, y-post or steel rods. Place the stakes every second bag and start at the 3rd level 🗸 Bags may be laid flat on the entrance and exit of the pipe to prevent scouring 🗸 They can either be watered down during placement or left to the elements to set them
Warranty As part of our commitment to delivering the best customer experience throughout the project lifecycle, Mastermix Director Steve Douglas personally reviews each warranty request. Each Warranty period is awarded at our discretion and will only be considered where approved Mastermix product applicators are used.

‘Armor’ has been tested and conforms to AS/NZS4020-2005, these tests include Taste, Turbidity, Aquatic Micro Organism growth, Cytotoxic activity, Mutagenic activity and Extraction of metals. For further information please contact our Technical Department for a full copy of the test report.

Armor should be applied in temperatures between 7°C and 25°C applies to both substrate and ambient) and will remain workable up to 20 minutes at 20°C. Temperature, humidity and water content will affect the workability time. Armor should not be applied in temperatures below 7°C.
